Drinking Horns

A fine collection of ceramic, glass, and real oxen drinking horns. Each and every real oxen drinking horn is a one-of-a-kind piece with its own unique character. No two have the same colors, shading, or shape. Hand-crafted in Germany, the quality is excellent.

Regarding the horns with a solid pewter base, the base is permanently attached to the horn and decorated with a detailed and intricate design. This means that the horn cannot be removed from the base. One reason for this is because the horn would rotate in the base (especially when filled with beer) if it was not attached. Another feature of this design is that the base counter balances the horn when drinking -- making the entire experience controlled, balanced, and comfortable.

All oxen drinking horns are wax polished on the outside, and the inside is treated with a food-grade enamel. This enamel is not suitable for hot beverages, but it is perfect for a nice cold beer.

Because each horn is different, the colors will vary somewhat from the images shown. Where possible, we have setup color categories for you to choose from, but these only indicate the majority of color(s) in the horn. There are so many shades of natural, brown, gray, and/or olive in every horn that it would be impossible to specify exactly. This is what makes each horn so special and unique.
